Current cookie position

This CalculatorOnline.xyz cookie policy explains the site’s current behavior. CalculatorOnline.xyz is operated by CalculatorOnline.xyz and this policy is effective August 29, 2026. Application code does not set cookies for calculation, preferences, identity, analytics, advertising, tape, memory, or saved history.

That statement is narrower than “nothing is stored anywhere.” A browser page uses volatile memory while it is open. A browser may cache public files. A device can retain copied text. A web host can maintain request and security records. Extensions, privacy tools, and network intermediaries can add behavior outside the site’s code.

What a cookie would be

A cookie is a small value associated with a site and stored by the browser for later requests or client-side access, subject to its attributes and browser policy. Sites commonly use cookies for sessions, preferences, analytics, or advertising. CalculatorOnline.xyz currently has no account, session login, saved calculator profile, analytics vendor, or advertising profile, so its application does not need those cookie categories.

The site does not show a placeholder consent banner for nonexistent application cookies. A misleading banner can obscure the simpler truth. Before a future feature uses cookies, CalculatorOnline.xyz will assess purpose, necessity, consent, retention, and access, then update this policy and provide any required choices.

Page memory is not a cookie

While a tool is open, it keeps the expression, parsed result, error, tape lines, and memory register in JavaScript memory attached to the current document. This allows Enter, Backspace, M+, MR, and tape editing to work. Refreshing or closing the page removes that state.

The application does not mirror the state to localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, a service-worker database, or a cookie. A current-page memory register is therefore not a persistent preference. The word “memory” on M+ and MR describes the calculator register, not a browser storage promise.

Reset all clears the calculator objects under the site’s control in that document. It does not clear browser cache, operating-system clipboard, extension storage, host records, or email.

Clipboard and copied tape

Copy result and Copy tape require an explicit user action. If permission succeeds, the selected text is placed on the device clipboard. Clipboard history or synchronization may preserve it across applications or devices according to operating-system, browser, account, or organizational settings.

The site does not read the clipboard as part of calculator behavior and does not need a clipboard cookie. Users on shared or managed devices should understand the device’s clipboard behavior before copying confidential values. MC and Reset all cannot erase clipboard history.

Browser cache and public assets

Browsers and content-delivery infrastructure may cache the site’s public HTML, JavaScript, styles, fonts, favicon, and hero image for performance. These files are common site resources and are not a saved expression tape. Cache duration and revalidation depend on response headers and browser policy.

A user can manage cache through browser controls, but clearing cache is not necessary to remove volatile calculator state after a refresh. Conversely, clearing calculator state does not guarantee every public asset is removed from cache.

Public static assets use cache-friendly file versions while HTML and policy content remain refreshable. Browser developer tools can show the cache headers returned for the current page and assets.

Hosting and security records

The Vercel host may process IP address, request path, request time, user agent, referrer, response status, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Such infrastructure records are not application cookies and are not intended to contain expressions because the tool keeps input out of URLs, requests, and custom telemetry.

Host configuration, platform changes, protection layers, and retention can affect observed behavior. A platform could set an operational cookie in a particular configuration even when application code does not. If inspection finds one, CalculatorOnline.xyz will identify its source and update the disclosure or settings.

Worked state comparison

A visitor loads /tools/online-calculator, enters 7.5 × 4, presses Enter, adds the result to M+, and copies the tape. The expression, 30 result, tape line, and register live in page memory. The copied line enters the device clipboard. Requests for the page and images may produce host metadata, while public files may enter browser cache.

The visitor refreshes. The expression, tape, and register vanish because there is no persistent calculator storage. The copied text may remain in clipboard history, cached images may remain, and host request records may remain according to their separate controls. No calculator cookie is involved.

Browser extensions and external software

Extensions can inspect or modify pages, inject scripts, alter network requests, or manage their own storage. Password managers, accessibility tools, security products, and corporate monitoring can also affect behavior. CalculatorOnline.xyz does not control those products and cannot describe their storage as its own.

Use a clean browser profile to distinguish site behavior from extensions. Compare a normal profile if an extension-related issue is suspected. Never disable organizational protection without authorization.

Cookie questions

Does the tape use a cookie?

No. It stays in current-page memory and is not restored after refresh.

Does MR read browser storage?

No. It reads the volatile register in the active page.

Can the host have logs without cookies?

Yes. Request processing and records do not require an application cookie.

Will a future cookie be added silently?

CalculatorOnline.xyz will disclose a new storage category and provide any required choices before enabling it.

Check the storage boundary

Choose Compare temporary and persistent browser state. In a clean profile, you can inspect cookies, local and session storage, IndexedDB, service workers, network requests, clipboard behavior, and cache headers. If the observed site behavior differs from this policy, send support a minimized report.
